River City Rally’s Michael Hooper and Joe Vitrano took the victory in the inaugural Missouri Ozark Rally, a brand new, regional-level event organized by the 100 Acre Wood Performance Rally Group, on Saturday afternoon. With a total time of 47:22.6, the Open 2WD Lexus IS350 bested an 11-entry field, taking the win over Travis and Kendal Clark by over three minutes. Andrew Ecker and Adam Hardin completed the overall podium.

Eight of the 11 crews that took on the event made it to the finish, with only two DNFs (both mechanical) and one DNS. A majority of the crews that competed run in the midwest regularly, and more than half have already confirmed their return to action in next month’s Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. The inaugural Missouri Ozark Rally was held roughly 100 miles away from Potosi, the home base of both 100AW and October’s Show-Me Rally.
